Rory McIlroy has announced he’s canceled his divorce proceedings with his wife Erica Stoll. The decision comes just weeks after announcing he had filed for a divorce on the eve of this year’s second Major, The Players Championships.
When asked by the Guardian about the recent rumors surrounding his divorce, McIlroy said,
“There have been rumours about my personal life recently, which is unfortunate. Responding to each rumour is a fool’s game.”
The Northern Irishman added,
“Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realised that our best future was as a family together. Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning.”
