Patrick Reed and his LIV Golf colleagues have offered their thoughts on what rule they would most like to change in the game.
What golf rule would you like to change the most?
If you’re Patrick Reed, the answer is obvious.
Should you hit the fairway and land in a divot, then a free drop ought to be permitted.
“You should be able to take relief,” Reed told the official LIV Golf website when asked for his opinion on the age-old debate.
“I mean, why [don’t] you get rewarded for a great drive?
“I mean, that stuff for me it’s like, alright, if we can do all the other stuff on fixing things why is it that we don’t get rewarded for a good golf shot?”
Reed wasn’t alone in this line of thinking.
Cameron Smith said: “I’ve always been a fan of changing the divot in the fairway.
“You should get a drop.”
Kevin Na took things another way with a surprising comment.
“I don’t think we should sign scorecards,” he said.
“I think we all know what we shot and I don’t think there needs to be a scorecard for us to sign.”
Richard Bland said: “There are so many stupid ones in golf.
“I don’t know if they have changed the rule now but I remember it because it happened to me.
“I accidentally dropped the ball on the marker, I was just kind of like, here and my marker was there and I accidentally just dropped the ball and it landed straight on my marker and it’s a shot penalty.
“So if that still applies then that one.
