Charley Hull has become one of the most-known names in the golfing world ever since a video of her smoking a cigarette at the 2024 US Women’s Open went viral. Fans have been curious about her smoking habits, particularly how many cigarettes she consumes per round.
During an interview with the LeBatard Show in June, co-host Jon Weiner (Stugotz) inquired about Hull’s smoking habits, specifically asking how many cigarettes she smokes per round. (From 7:16)
“Stop with the cigarettes! I promised her at the beginning that we wouldn’t wear her out with the cigarettes,” Le Batard interrupted immediately.
However, Stugotz, an avid smoker himself, said that it was an important query as he wants to quit, much like the golfer.Hull responded candidly to Stugotz’s question, stating that she typically smokes five cigarettes per round. However, she also expressed a desire to quit smoking and indicated that fans would no longer see her smoking during future tournaments. (From 7:50).
“I know probably about five, and then I try not to smoke many after that. But listen, I literally am just stopping now anyway. I’ve got to quit now. Like I made a promise to myself and to my friends that I am literally going to quit. So, yeah, next tournament, you won’t see me smoking,” Hull said.
