Scottie Scheffler Rewards Caddie Ted Scott After £20m Season

Scottie Scheffler’s dominance on the PGA Tour in 2025 has not only boosted his own career but also delivered big rewards for his caddie, Ted Scott.

The World No. 1 has enjoyed another stellar year, winning six times on Tour, including two major championships — The Open and the PGA Championship. Although slightly shy of his 2024 tally of seven victories, Scheffler has already earned more than £20 million in prize money this season, cementing his place among the Tour’s all-time highest earners.

Ted Scott’s Big Payday

Caddies traditionally receive around 10% of a winner’s purse, 7% for top-10 finishes, and 5% otherwise. Based on Scheffler’s haul, Scott has been handsomely rewarded, though exact figures remain undisclosed. Scheffler previously hinted that he is generous with his caddie’s cut, crediting Scott for his transformation into the game’s most consistent player.

“I don’t think it’s a secret that my career trajectory changed when Ted came on the bag,” Scheffler said. “I went from a guy who hadn’t won on Tour to someone winning at a pretty good pace. He’s not just a great caddie, he’s also a great friend, and we’re a really good team.”

Scott, who partnered with Scheffler in late 2021 after a long stint alongside Bubba Watson, has been at the heart of the Texan’s rise. His calm presence has helped guide Scheffler to four major titles in less than four years, along with multiple regular Tour victories.

Ryder Cup Ready

Scheffler heads into the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black on the back of a Procore Championship win earlier this month, his sixth of the season. With momentum on his side and Scott back on the bag after briefly stepping away for a family matter this summer, the pair will look to carry their winning formula into golf’s most intense team competition.
