Patrick Reed Reacts to Disrespect After Scheffler, McIlroy Overshadow Him at the Masters

Former Masters champion Patrick Reed expressed frustration at being overshadowed by Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler during the 2025 Masters. Despite a strong showing, sitting at 6-under after Round 3, Reed noted in a press conference that his past Augusta success, including his 2018 green jacket, seems ignored.

“I don’t mind flying under the radar,” Reed said, hinting at using the lack of spotlight as motivation. McIlroy’s historic 66 and Scheffler’s consistent contention dominated headlines, leaving Reed’s steady climb less noticed.

His local Augusta knowledge and five top-12 finishes in seven years underscore his prowess, yet the focus remains elsewhere. As WrestleMania 41 nears in Las Vegas, Reed aims to steal the show on Sunday.
