Carlos Alcaraz Reveals Final Messages From Charlie Kirk After US Open Triumph

New York – Tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz has shared an emotional and unexpected chapter following his latest US Open triumph. Fresh off his stunning victory at Flushing Meadows, the 22-year-old Spaniard revealed that among the flood of congratulatory notes was one from U.S. activist Charlie Kirk.

According to Alcaraz, Kirk reached out with “warm congratulations and praise” for his remarkable performance. “We talked at length about this sport, and perhaps we truly connected,” Alcaraz recalled. The Turning Point USA founder even suggested the pair meet for dinner — an invitation Alcaraz says he had hoped to accept but was unable to due to his hectic post-tournament schedule.

What began as a celebratory exchange quickly turned into heartbreak. Just days later, Kirk, 31, was murdered at a public event in Utah, shocking the political world and beyond. Alcaraz says the news hit him deeply, as he was still holding on to Kirk’s final messages.

“I can’t stop thinking about those last words,” the world No. 2 admitted. “The joy after my victory had just begun, yet it turned into the greatest sorrow in my heart.”

Kirk’s killing has prompted widespread condemnation and renewed debate about political violence in the United States. For Alcaraz, it’s a somber reminder that triumph and tragedy can collide without warning.

“I didn’t know Charlie Kirk personally, but through our messages I sensed his passion,” Alcaraz added. “I wish I’d had the chance to meet him in person.”
