Outrageous footage has gone viral of a golfer smashing a golf club over a fellow player’s head during a round at the weekend.
Shocking graphic footage of a golfer smashing his driver over a player’s head has gone viral on social media.
According to a report in Burnabynow, ‘an intoxicated 43-year-old man was arrested at the Burnaby Mountain Golf Course and now faces possible charges for assault with a weapon.’
Police were called to the Canadian golf club at around 12.30pm on 12 October.
It was reportedly the second time in four months that police had been called to the golf course.
In a statement from Burnaby RCMP Cpl. Mike Kalanj, “when police arrived, the intoxicated 43-year-old male suspect was still on scene and immediately taken into custody.”
Police were informed the suspect hit three male victims with his golf club after a brief verbal dispute played out.
Each of the victims sustained minor injuries, but are understood to be okay.

It is understood the ‘intoxicated man’ got upset because one of the golfers in the group ahead had allegedly hit into him.
A man who filmed footage of the incident is heard shouting out: ‘Call the f***ing cops’ as the man smashes his driver into a player’s head.

The suspect has been released pending a court date.
“This is the second time Burnaby officers have dealt with a fight at a golf course since June,” Kalanj said.
“It is unacceptable to engage in a physical altercation like this at a recreational facility. Luckily there were no serious injuries.
