World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler delivered a stellar performance in the third round of the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge, shooting a 6-under 64 at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. This marks a significant turnaround after narrowly making the cut with earlier rounds of 68 and 71.

Scheffler’s third round featured an eagle on the par-5 11th hole, complemented by birdies on the 16th and 17th. Despite bogeys on the 12th, 13th, and 18th holes, he climbed to 7-under par for the tournament. However, he remains seven strokes behind leader Matti Schmid.
During the second round, Scheffler was seen wincing after a tee shot on the par-4 2nd hole, raising concerns about a potential injury. Addressing these concerns post-round, Scheffler stated, “Yeah, I feel good. I just had a little pinch, it happens every now and then. It also happened once last week too, so it’s not a big deal.”
Scheffler’s recent form has been impressive, with victories at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and the PGA Championship. Despite a demanding schedule, he continues to perform at a high level. Looking ahead to the final round, Scheffler remains optimistic: “I’ll see if I can get out ahead of the leaders and post a number.”
As the tournament concludes, all eyes will be on Scheffler to see if he can mount a final-round charge and secure his first Charles Schwab Challenge title.
