Report: Two Recent PGA Tour Winners in Talks to Join LIV Golf in 2026

The tug-of-war between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf could soon heat up again. According to reports, two recent PGA Tour winners are said to be in discussions to make the switch to LIV Golf for the 2026 season.

While the names of the players haven’t been confirmed, sources suggest they aren’t on the same superstar level as Jon Rahm — who made headlines with his record-breaking LIV deal in 2023 — but their possible signings would still raise plenty of eyebrows across the golfing world.

In recent months, the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), which bankrolls LIV Golf, has reportedly adjusted its recruitment strategy. Instead of handing out the huge upfront fees that marked earlier signings, the league is now prioritizing more structured and sustainable contracts as it plans for long-term growth.

Golf insiders also report that several PGA Tour and DP World Tour players are in active talks with LIV Golf franchises, many of which are looking to strengthen their teams ahead of the 2026 season — set to tee off in Riyadh next February. It’s believed there are still around six roster spots to fill before the new season begins.

So, who could be next? Based on the list of recent PGA Tour winners, speculation points toward a few intriguing names who fit LIV’s recruitment profile — rising stars, consistent performers, and those seeking a fresh chapter in their careers.

Among those who might fit the bill are players like Cameron Young, JJ Spaun, Sepp Straka, Ben Griffin, and Brian Harman — all of whom have had standout seasons and strong performances on big stages. Young, in particular, was linked with LIV Golf two years ago before deciding to stay with the PGA Tour, but whispers suggest the door may not be fully closed.

Other possibilities include South Africa’s Aldrich Potgieter, who’s been making waves recently and has even been rumored on social media as a potential LIV target.

With LIV Golf preparing for its fifth season, the league’s intent is clear: continue attracting proven winners while building long-term stability. If these reported talks turn into signings, the landscape of professional golf could once again shift in dramatic fashion.
