LIV Golf is gearing up for its fourth full season in 2026, with fresh speculation swirling around potential new signings. Backed by the Saudi PIF, the breakaway league will once again stage 13 events worth $25 million each, capped off by a season-ending team championship.
The new season tees off next February under the lights in Saudi Arabia, with Jon Rahm aiming for a third consecutive individual crown. But with six players relegated after 2025, LIV now faces the task of refreshing its rosters with new stars.
Players Out
Among those cut are:
- Henrik Stenson – previously exempt from relegation as a team captain, but rule changes left him vulnerable.
- Andy Ogletree, Mito Pereira, Yubin Jang, Frederik Kjettrup – all finished in the drop zone.
- Anthony Kim – the former PGA Tour star and LIV wildcard couldn’t keep his spot and now turns to the Asian Tour’s International Series in hopes of a return.
Players Linked with LIV Moves
The rumor mill continues to churn with several big names linked to potential switches. Tony Finau, Jason Day, Viktor Hovland, Tom Kim, Wyndham Clark, and Hideki Matsuyama have all been mentioned in recent months.
- Finau reportedly came close to signing last year before pulling out, dismissing the speculation as “made up.”
- Clark confirmed he had turned down an offer in 2024, insisting his focus remains on the PGA Tour—for now.
With roster gaps to fill, don’t be surprised if LIV makes another high-profile signing before the season begins.
