Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele have officially withdrawn from this year’s Hero World Challenge, Tiger Woods’ annual invitational tournament in The Bahamas.
The duo were initially slated to be part of the star-studded 20-man field, but both have now been replaced — Andrew Novak and Alex Noren will step in as their substitutes.
Their absence means the tournament, hosted at Albany Resort, will now see several new faces, including JJ Spaun and Chris Gotterup, who are set to make their Hero World Challenge debuts.
Despite the withdrawals, the event remains stacked with top talent, featuring World No.1 Scottie Scheffler, who is chasing a historic third consecutive victory, along with nine 2025 Ryder Cup players and Team USA captain Keegan Bradley.
Tiger Woods, meanwhile, will miss the tournament as he continues recovery from his latest back surgery earlier this month.
The Hero World Challenge tees off later this year, with a $5 million purse and $1 million awaiting the champion.
