Golf Fans React to Brian Harman’s Bizarre Outburst at DP World India Championship

Golf fans were left puzzled on Sunday after Brian Harman was caught on camera angrily slamming his club into the turf—right after hitting a near-perfect shot during the final round of the DP World India Championship.

The unusual moment took place on the 161-yard par-3 5th hole at Delhi Golf Club. Harman’s tee shot landed just about 10 feet from the pin, yet instead of celebrating, the 2023 Open Champion furiously launched his club into the ground moments after impact.

According to the DP World Tour’s shot tracker, his ball actually finished six feet, 11 inches from the hole—making his frustration even more confusing.

Clips of the incident quickly circulated online, with fans offering a mix of amusement and disbelief.
Anger management is a suggestion,” one fan joked on X (formerly Twitter).
Another quipped, “If I hit a shot even half that good, I’d be jumping for joy.
A third added, “That should’ve been a club twirl, not a club slam.

Despite the great shot, Harman went on to two-putt for par, capping off what was a disappointing final round. He had started the day with a double-bogey seven on the opening hole and, although he recovered briefly with birdies on holes 2, 8, and 9, a string of bogeys on the back nine left him struggling to gain momentum.

Harman eventually carded a 2-over 74—the highest score among the top 55 players on the leaderboard—and finished the tournament T26 at 11-under par.

For a player known for his consistency, the outburst highlighted just how fine the margins—and tempers—can be at the top level of professional golf.
