U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a statement following his recent visit to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, assuring supporters that he remains in “excellent health” and expressing gratitude for the concern shown by the public.
In his message, Trump said,
“I appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love and support. It was a routine visit — part of my regular checkup. I feel great, stronger than ever, and I’m ready to keep fighting for the American people.”
The statement came after speculation on social media suggested the former president had been hospitalized due to a health scare. However, his medical team clarified that the visit was part of a scheduled physical examination and not an emergency admission.
White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella confirmed that Trump underwent a series of standard tests, including cardiovascular imaging and lab work, describing his overall condition as “exceptional.” The doctor also noted that Trump’s “cardiac age” is estimated to be nearly 14 years younger than his actual age, crediting his “active lifestyle and balanced health maintenance plan.”
The visit also included updated influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations as part of his preventive care routine.
Trump’s aides criticized what they called “false media narratives” exaggerating the nature of the visit.
“There was no emergency, no overnight stay, and no treatment required,” a spokesperson said. “President Trump remains in excellent shape and continues his busy schedule without interruption.”
The 79-year-old former president has maintained a highly public campaign schedule in recent months, appearing at rallies across several states ahead of the upcoming election season.
His statement ended on a characteristically upbeat note:
“Don’t believe the fake news. I’m feeling fantastic — better than ever. We’re going to Make America Great Again, again.”
