Furious Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley steps in to give Justin Rose unsolicited ruling

Keegan Bradley created fresh Ryder Cup drama after storming in to challenge Justin Rose over a rules ruling during Sunday’s singles at Bethpage Black.

Rose, facing Cameron Young in the opening match of the day, had already seen his early advantage slip away and trailed by three through 12 holes. His problems deepened when a wayward second shot on the par-five 13th finished near a television tower, forcing officials to step in and determine his drop.

As referees deliberated, Bradley – the U.S. captain – suddenly rushed onto the scene, animatedly pointing and insisting Rose was dropping in the wrong place. His involvement drew roars from the home crowd but also sparked a heated exchange with the Englishman.

Despite the disruption, Rose produced a stunning recovery from beneath the trees, landing his ball on the green and converting an unlikely birdie after Young missed his putt.

Bradley, however, refused to let the matter go, continuing to press his case with officials both before and after the hole concluded.

The tense moment only added to the intensity of an already fiery Ryder Cup, where emotions have been running high on and off the course.
