Rory McIlroy & Shane Lowry’s staggering PGA Tour earnings unveiled after Tour Championship finale

Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry have both cashed in heavily on the PGA Tour this season, racking up more than €24 million in prize money between them ahead of Ryder Cup duty.

McIlroy, who completed the career Grand Slam at Augusta in April, once again underlined his status as one of golf’s most consistent stars. From just 16 starts, the Northern Irishman collected $16,992,418 (€15.8m), powered by three victories and eight top-10 finishes.

Lowry may not have lifted a trophy in 2025, but his consistency kept the prize money flowing. The Offaly native earned $7,082,794 (€6.6m) across 20 events, highlighted by two runner-up finishes—including one to McIlroy at Pebble Beach—and four additional top-10s.

Both players advanced to the 30-man field for the season-ending Tour Championship at East Lake. McIlroy wrapped up the year 23rd in the FedEx Cup standings, with Lowry finishing 13th after the PGA Tour’s revamped points format.

Meanwhile, Tommy Fleetwood stole the spotlight in Atlanta, finally securing his long-awaited first PGA Tour victory. The Englishman not only claimed the Tour Championship title but also the FedEx Cup crown, banking a life-changing $10 million payday.

For McIlroy and Lowry, though, their combined haul from the season serves as a reminder of their elite consistency—and a perfect boost of momentum heading into the Ryder Cup.
