LIV Golf closed out its 2025 season in dramatic fashion at The Cardinal at St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan, with the Team Championship offering a staggering $50 million purse. Unlike regular events, no individual honors were on the line—Jon Rahm had already secured the season-long individual crown the week prior. Instead, all 13 squads battled for team bragging rights and a massive payday.
In the end, it was Rahm’s Legion XIII—featuring Tyrrell Hatton, Tom McKibbin, and Caleb Surratt—who came out on top. They defeated Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers in a playoff after both sides finished at -20. Legion XIII’s victory secured a $14 million payout, with each player earning $1.4 million.
The format of this year’s championship added intrigue. Following a Wednesday play-in, quarterfinals and semifinals were contested in match play, featuring alternate-shot foursomes and singles matches. The final stage shifted back to stroke play, with all four team scores counting toward the aggregate.
