LeBron James set social media ablaze after he was spotted at the Cleveland Cavaliers’ practice facility, sparking wild speculation among fans.
The Los Angeles Lakers star’s relationship with his current team has been under scrutiny this offseason, with reports suggesting the franchise is shifting focus toward long-term rebuilding rather than an immediate title run. Amid swirling rumors, James went viral on Friday when he shared a photo alongside Cavs Summer League rookie Denver Jones during his visit.
It’s unclear if the trip to the facility was simply part of his usual 4th of July routine in his hometown or if it hints at a potential return to Cleveland. Either way, the picture had Cavs fans buzzing with excitement.
“LeBron should declare his independence from the Lakers and come back to Cleveland,” one fan tweeted.
Another wrote, “Why is LeBron at the Cavs facility? Please don’t play with my emotions.”
While some fans speculated about a possible trade, others confidently predicted, “He’s going back to Cleveland. I’ve been saying it for weeks.”
However, James quickly shut down the chatter. Responding to the viral photo, the four-time MVP reminded everyone that he spends every summer in the area and often trains at the Cavaliers’ facility.
“And every summer since it was built. I live here and train every summer. Damn, y’all bored! Go grab a plate of food and enjoy the 4th of July,” James wrote.
While the Lakers star tried to cool the speculation, many Cavs supporters aren’t ready to stop dreaming of a homecoming just yet.
