Seattle coffee shop bite halts London title defense

“On Saturday in Seattle, I was bitten by a dog and need time to receive treatment and recover fully.”
This injury forced her to withdraw from the Aramco Team Series event at Centurion Club in London, where she had been set to defend her titl.

A Year Later – Shocking Reveal
Just days ago, Korda marked the one-year anniversary with a revealing Instagram story: a close-up shot of the bite—deep punctures and bruising on her inner thigh—alongside the caption, “Throwing it back to a year ago when I got bit by a dog at a coffee shop”
. The raw image confirms how painful and serious the attack was, making her withdrawal from London entirely understandable.
Golfers Rallying in Support
Fellow golfer Alison Lee, who endured a dog bite earlier in the same year, echoed Korda’s experience. Lee ended up hospitalized for days due to infection and lymphangitis, sharing:
