Bryson DeChambeau has urged golf fans to attend a LIV Golf event with an open mind, claiming they’ll become “fans for life” if they give it a fair chance. Speaking ahead of the LIV tournament in Houston, DeChambeau made a passionate plea to the public, emphasizing that many critics have never experienced a LIV event in person.
He said the negativity often comes from those who haven’t actually watched the tour up close. “Come out to an event and enjoy it,” DeChambeau stated. “If you do, you’ll understand what we’re building. I guarantee you’ll leave as a fan.”
His comments were backed by fellow LIV player Martin Kaymer, who stressed the importance of forming opinions based on real experience. “You can only have an opinion about something you’ve actually seen or been part of,” Kaymer added.
DeChambeau’s message also comes at a critical time, as he’s preparing for talks with LIV bosses regarding his future. His contract runs through 2025, and negotiations are expected to begin by the end of the year. He has remained loyal to the tour, stating, “They see value in me, and I see value in what LIV can become.”
This latest statement is part of DeChambeau’s broader effort to help reshape how the public views LIV Golf—as something more than just an alternative to the PGA Tour, but as an exciting, evolving brand in its own right.
