Donald Trump’s criticism of Harvard University for enrolling a large number of international students and his call to ban them, amid concerns over alleged antisemitism and misuse of federal funding.
Donald Trump’s Truth Social feed is a mix of internet memes from X and pointed political commentary targeting his frequent adversaries.
Recently, he called for a ban on international students at Harvard, citing what the Department of Homeland Security linked to rising “un-American antisemitism” on campus.
“Why isn’t Harvard revealing that nearly 31% of their students come from foreign countries—many of which aren’t exactly friendly to the U.S.—and yet pay nothing toward their education?” Trump posted. “They don’t plan to either.”
He continued, “Nobody told us this! We deserve to know who these foreign students are. That’s a fair request considering the billions of dollars we give to Harvard. But the university won’t say a word.”
“We want names. We want countries. Harvard has $52 billion—use it. Stop asking the federal government for more grants!”
However, a federal judge previously blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to expel international students, calling it a “blatant violation of the First Amendment.” C
