The PGA Tour has officially named Brandt Snedeker and Geoff Ogilvy as captains for the 2026 Presidents Cup, set to take place from September 24–27 at the historic Medinah Country Club in Illinois .
Brandt Snedeker to Lead U.S. Team
Brandt Snedeker, a nine-time PGA Tour winner and former U.S. team member in both the Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup, will captain the American side. The 44-year-old has previously served as a captain’s assistant and is currently one of Keegan Bradley’s vice captains for the 2025 Ryder Cup .
“Representing my country in team competition has been a highlight of my PGA Tour career,” Snedeker stated. “I will lean on those experiences to ensure we are prepared and ready to compete against what I know will be a unified and determined International Team.”
Geoff Ogilvy to Captain International Team
Geoff Ogilvy, the 2006 U.S. Open champion and three-time Presidents Cup participant, has been appointed as the International Team captain. The 47-year-old Australian has served as a captain’s assistant in the last four editions of the tournament .
“Since Ernie Els debuted the shield in … ,” Ogilvy remarked. “I intend to carry that momentum forward … -up and throughout the event.”
Medinah Country Club: A Historic Venue
