Scottie Scheffler publishes statement withdrawing from The American Express 2025 golf tournament
Scottie Scheffler will be withdrawing from the upcoming American Express 2025 owing to his right hand injury. He took to Instagram on Monday (Jan. 6) to announce the news.
Scheffler had not participated in the first event of the PGA Tour calendar, The Sentry in Hawaii either. The World no. 1 will look to return to action at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in January end.
His official statement read: “After consulting with my medical team, I have made the decision to withdraw from next week’s American Express tournament to give my injury more time to heal. I am still hopeful to begin my 2025 season at the AT & T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
